The Gamelan (Metapost) macro package was used in W1 for histograms etc. This should be interfaced to W2, assuming that histograms are available at all (Ticket #37).

Gamelan does not break the make distcheck, as feared by WK. Nevertheless the problem has to be solved. Also, gamelan has to be refined.

Even though distcheck runs through, the automatic invocation of gamelan did not work for the installed version. This is now fixed [1371]. 'write_analysis' will now work, and if the default (central) installation path is chosen, gamelan.sty will furthermore be included in the standard TeX search path (assumed as
$prefix/share/texmf
).
Refinement of gamelan is desirable, but not an urgent task, I'd say. Closing the ticket.
Essentially done with Changeset [1269], but will work only with test version. gamelan.sty needs to be installed in the TeX tree.
