In June there will be the new TeXLive which (according to Norbert Preining und Taco Hoekwater will contain the newest version of MetaPost?, hopefully, as they say, with the fix for the "dot"-bug. So in principle we could risk refraining from doing anything. What do you think?

It don't believe that there will be a new Metapost version soon-ish, and the old one was on the market for too long. So I think we have to change our conventions. Shall we switch again to an underscore?
