The manual as of r3157 should be usable, for the first time.
There are still a couple of outdated or missing parts, some of them minor (e.g., docu of ISR and such), some of them major (the examples section, the reference section). And it needs further elimination of inconsistencies, polishing, etc.

Summary: | W2 Manual and physics examples → W2 Manual |

Physics examples are mostly done, and are also included in the Jenkins cruise control system. The only open thing is to fill missing stuff in the manual. Right now, I'll do an update on the WHIZARD 1 manual to get rid of some really old and ugly comments. We have to think about whether we do a version 1.97 just for the sake of the updated manual, but I think it is for sure worthwile. After that I will work on the version 2 manual again.

As Daniel and I are unable to write unflawed SINDARIN code (see #429), there are two possible reasons:
- We are just too dumb.
- We were fooled by missing stuff in the manual. Maybe it was the missing definition of the ":" particle list concatenation, maybe the missing explicit definition of the "incoming" keyword, maybe the missing definition of ordering when combining "incoming" and ":", maybe a missing comparison of combining with ":" and with "&" or join.
Let's hope it's just the second reason.

Sorry, I didn't want to offend anybody!
Point 2 is probably true. Any suggestions for improving the manual are welcome.
Nevertheless, the distinction between alias and subevent should be kept; in SINDARIN it is confusing at times.

More on the manual soon. JRR will take care of this. Hopefully in 2.2.X with X not too big.

Things to be mentioned here are the new functionality in the O'Mega restrictions, and more of the NLO functionality, as well as then how to handle UFO files.

All headlines in the manual are at the moment filled with text, so there are no placeholders any more. Obviously, the manual is still far from complete, but we will leave documentation to specialized issues and close this general ticket.
I add here the task for physics examples. I have in mind a Tevatron example, containing different scale choices for PDFs. And some more BSM stuff.
