Description
Anybody who builds W2 from the svn source should know that (s)he has to have NOWEB available, and run autoreconf after checkout, before configure. This should be documented together with the svn checkout option.

This is documented now both in the manual.tex (.pdf) in share/doc as well as on our webpage (also in the svn version of the webpage.) Closing the ticket.

This is done. I cannot close the ticket, however, as the webpage system is blocked due to the strange svn owner rules!!!
