Discuss W1 option take-over into W2
— at Version 14
We have to decide which options should be taken over into W2 or not, that are not yet available...
Just put a 'yes' or 'no' behind the option.... (WK, this affects mostly you!)
- use_efficency
- time_limit_adaptation
- write_/read_grids (several options)
- binary grid files
- generate_phase_space (does not make much sense, ne?)
- phase_space_only
- write_phase_space_channels_file (does not make much sense)
- extra_off_shell_lines (guess, it's obsolete)
- splitting_depth (covered by new PS algorithm??)
- exchange_lines = phs_t_channel ???
- single/double_off_shell_branchings/decays
- massive_fsr (still necessary?)
- threshold_mass = phs_threshold_s ??
- threshold_mass_t = phs_threshold_t ??
- default_jet_cut/default_mass_cut ~ phs_m_scale ??
- default_q_cut ~ phs_q_scale ??
- default_e_cut ~ phs_e_scale ??
- n_events_warmup (guess its obsolete now??)
- write_weights/write_weights_file (seems to be obsolete too)
- safety_factor (???)
- events_per_file/bytes_per_file (THIS I CONSIDER IMPORTANT!!!)
- conn. to 21) min_file_count, max_file_count
- guess_color_flow (obsolete? I guess so, because it was only relevant for processes where the color flow info was missing)
- fragment/fragmentation_method (related to the shower tickets, but should be steerable now from the main whizard)
- conn. to 24: pythia_parameters, pythia_processes
- time_limit (might still be useful?)
- warn_empty_channel (?)
- screen_events, screen_histograms, (could be interesting for debugging?)
- we have an equivalent of screen_diagnostics, don't we?
- show_pythia_initialization does not seem to have an effect at all :(
- show_pythia_statistics
- show_input, show_results, show_phase_space, show_histories, show_history, show_weights, show_event (??)
- show_cuts (this is not implemented at all in W2)
- show_histograms (seems not to work in W1 anyhow)
- show_overflow, show_excess (do they do anything actually?)
- plot_width, plot_height, plot_excess (guess they are there in W2?)
- plot_grids_channels (is make grids supported at all in W2???)
- plot_grids_logscale (quite useful ;))
- there are zilions of parameters to switch on or off part of the output for the logfiles... do we need/want them???
- what about the command line parameters from W1??
